This kit is a model
A set of 36 locations
Each postcard is a modern day photo of what the site looks like today. The sites are specific. Things really happened right at the spot in the photograph.
Each location carries two stories
Because no matter where we are in Aotearoa New Zealand, every single place carries many stories and has many voices.
Each location has a physical object and a photo in your kit
Students will be prompted to find the object and the photo during their research treasure hunt. These items act as further tactile clues.
Each story has a series of tasks
The tasks ask you to use different sources - video, sound recordings, photos, object and documents to uncover more and more details about what happened here. Tasks progress from easy to hard as you move left to right.
Teacher Support Materials
This School Kit comes in three parts: Part 1: This student facing website; Part 2: Your hard copy boxed kit and Part 3: A private, teacher only space full of online teacher support materials.
